Definitely showing it's age, but not bad. Jack Williamson's The Legion of Space is an interesting artifact the Golden Age of science fiction, copyrighted in and then tweaked after the war with its twentieth-century narrative frame now mentioning Pearl Harbor.

It is definitely an acquired taste, though/5. The story tells of a crew of Musketeer-like space soldiers travelling across the solar system to rescue a girl from evil, jellyfish-like aliens bent on taking over the solar system, because the girl knows how to build a powerful weapon that can save the fate of everyone.

The story frequently defies logic, /5(14). Isaac Asimov was fascinated by "The Legion of Space" as a boy, but found it unreadable when he came back to it as an adult. This isn't particularly surprising.
